Hardwick Hall Hotel is a Licensed Venue for Civil Marriages. We are able to use our
Coleman Suite and our Boyne Suite for these occasions. Whilst the guidelines from the
Registrar's Office are quite rigid, our experience to date is that Civil Marriages have been
wonderful happy events, and we make exceptional efforts to ensure their success.
We set the scene with a beautiful Chippendale-style Registrar's Desk with flowers,
flanked by two beautiful floral arrangements using colours of your choice on large polished
and carved wooden pedestals, a red carpet creates an aisle down the length of the room,
comfortable seating for all your guests and light classical music playing in the background.
As the Licence holder, the hotel provides an usher and licensed representative in the
room during the Service, who also provides the bride and groom with a
special memento of their day after the Service ends.
Copies of the Registrar's Guidelines are available on request and special attention
should be given to the music allowed and photography restrictions.
It should be noted that the Hotel is unable to take a firm booking for a
Civil Marriage until confirmation of a Registrar is obtained.
There is a charge for Civil Wedding ceremonies at Hardwick Hall Hotel,
which includes all the above items and VAT. These charges do not include any other
room hire charges that may be applicable to your booking, and you are
required to pay the Registrar's Fees direct.
