PASTRY CHEF

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join the kitchen brigade of our 4 star hotel.

This role requires a strong Pastry Chef with key pastry skills who is creative has flair, and genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about food. You will be confident running your own section and will be working with fresh produce on a daily basis. You will be preparing desserts for the main restaurant, weddings and functions.

This is a demanding role that would suit an experienced pastry chef looking for the next step in their career.

Typical week worked 5 days out of 7, salary negotiable depending on experience.

Please note: we do not provide staff accommodation.

RECEPTIONIST

We are currently looking to recruit a Receptionist to join Hardwick Hall Hotel a 51 bedroomed, 4* hotel in Sedgefield, County Durham.

Our customers have come to expect a warm welcome from us and that’s precisely what you will be on hand to provide in this role. Your friendly personality is certain to make the process of receiving and registering guests a pleasurable experience for everyone involved. Your excellent organisational skills will mean that all relevant documentation will be carried out efficiently. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced hotel receptionist - preferably Rezlynx’ trained.

The role will involve assisting with many and varied guest requirements from check-in to check-out, answering the telephone and taking reservations ensuring excellent guest service at all times. 

You ll be well presented and have excellent customer and communication skills with a good command of spoken English. You’ll also be able to work as part of a team as well as showing your own initiative whilst displaying exceptional standards of customer care at all times.

Nestled in the beautiful County Durham countryside and surrounded by the magnificent Hardwick Country Park, this Four Star hotel boasts 51 bedrooms, conference, wedding and banqueting suites and a new concept restaurant The Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill which is a distinctive bistro style steak restaurant and grill.
As a Chef De Partie you will be working within a thriving kitchen using fresh locally sourced produce and the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• You should have a real passion for cooking and have experience of modern British cuisine.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Be consistent with excellent standards of personal presentation.
• Experienced in running own section.
• You will need a proven track record as a Chef De Partie ideally within a four star hotel.
• NVQ or equivalent qualifications would be an advantage.

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
